Reflections

This is a post peer review on my C2G

I was originally planning to use the genres of photography and magazine articles, however, after today’s class, I have decided to change that. The idea of photography and the magazine article was to incorporate a photo into a magazine article. Before today’s class, I was only using my brain to generate ideas to complete this project, I was not completely sure about what I had to do, nut after the discussion today, my mind is clear. I know of some of the tools presented today, but not all of them. Those that I did not know of were weebly.com, word press.com, prezi.com and spark meme-maker. After doing an examination of these websites, I decided that I will use either canva.com or prezi.com. These two websites tremendously impact creativity. On these websites, your creativity is limitless. Some of the genres you can use are posters, magazine covers, book covers, flyers, presentations, etc. For my project, I am thinking of using the genre presentation for my project. Since my topic is on a social issue and it informs readers of that social issue, I will use prezi.com and create a presentation that will cover several subtopics under my topic. In this way, the presentation will be short yet detailed. Readers will get a full understanding of my topic. When you create a presentation with prezi.com, it looks simple at first but as you click on the different topics, the details are revealed. So my topic is the relationship between police brutality and language. For my presentation, on the cover, there will be the subtopics in circles, and when you click on the circles, the detailed information is presented. In this way, the audience will see something simple and fast at first, but very detailed information.

This is some other short writing that was done before getting the final papers done.

Write an 8-10 pages inquiry-based essay. In an inquiry-based essay, the development of a research question is the cornerstone of the essay.  First, develop a research question about your topic, then get it approved by the teacher, and finally conduct the research to answer the question. The essay should include an interview with a member of a non-profit organization, or an observation of an event organized by a non-profit organization, 4 academic sources, and 3 popular media sources.
